East Croydon Rail station is where we’re going. It takes 40ish minutes from King’s Cross St Pancras International Terminal. Go right up the new concourse literally to the other end and you’ll see the First Capital Connect ticket booth and gates. Trains run very regularly but we have to get there earlier so, 5.10 and if you miss that 5.28. After that, you’ll just have missed the band rehearsal with them but can catch up on the choirs rehearsing their stuff together!
——–
PLAN: Catch 5.10pm, arrive East Croydon 5.46pm.
——–
Walking from the East Croydon station to venue is very easy. Come out of station, turn right, you’re walking downhill. At first big junction, turn left and you’ll see a the Fairfield Halls on the left-handside of the road about 200 metres along. (It’s the building on the right of this map just above).
BOTH CHOIRS: If you ABSOLUTELY can not make the soundcheck time and have to come later from work, that is understood. We will attempt to ensure that we go through any instructions and re-run the walk-on/off with the choirs again before they close the stage at 7.30pm. But it is your own duty to learn the words and be aware and follow everyone else’s lead. And more importantly, to do as you’re requested once you are there. It will make you much more comfortable and you’ll have less to worry about. In order to minimise that too, please make sure you have really learned your words before Wed!!!
