Staff ID Cards (ESi)

All staff and students with an ICT Account are issued with a Student or Staff Id card that is used to control the barriers that provide access to the University buildings.

The ESi Smartcard system, that manages the Id cards and the barrier controllers, is provided and supported by ISS. Business Support within Estates operates and supports the issuing and cancelling of Staff ID Cards for new permanent and hourly paid staff; and renewals for existing hourly paid staff. 

Note: Campus Services owns the systems used to perform this task and deal with the student body’s requirements for ID cards but Business Support in Estates manages the staff side of things.
