The Lawyers with Disabilities Division (LDD) has organised a one-day event aimed at law students and trainees with disabilities considering a career as a solicitor.
During the day you will hear about pro-bono work and there will be a workshop on CV writing, the job application process and how to prepare for an interview. A panel will talk about their various careers and how they got to where they are now. They will also look at the employers’ perspective of employing people with disabilties. Finally you will be given guidance on whether to declare a disability.
The event, which is free to attend, is aimed at students undertaking a law degree and those about to strart or who are doing an LPC.
It will be held on Wednesday 26 October 2011 from 10.00am – 5.00 pm plus reception at the Law Society’s Hall, 113 Chancery Lane, London
