Friends of the Earth has just launched a new competition called ‘Get Gobby’ – partnered with People and Planet and supported by the NUS. The challenge is to submit a concept to persuade people to eat a more sustainable diet using students’ writing, design, film or other skills.
Three students will win £500 and the best of those will also present their idea at a Friends of the Earth event in July this year. The concepts may also get taken up in future Friends of the Earth campaigns.
This is a fantastic development opportunity for students interested in pursuing careers in environment, campaigning or the third sector. The competition closes midnight 9 June and full details are at www.foe.co.uk/getgobby.
