The Citizens Advice service provides advice to people for the problems they face. We also use the insight and data gained from our advice work to undertake policy research, measure the impact that advice has on people’s lives and campaign for change.
Citizens Advice, the membership organisation for Citizens Advice Bureaux in England and Wales, has a paid internship scheme which is designed to provide people with invaluable opportunities to gain experience in policy, campaign and research work as well as support our work on these issues.
Their internship programme provides:
Paid opportunities at the London Living Wage to people who might otherwise find it difficult to get started in a policy, research or campaigning career.
Opportunities to work on original pieces of research, ground-breaking policy or influential campaigns
Experience of working in a busy policy, campaigning or research environment for a leading charity
All internships are based at their London offices in the City.
Shortly they will be looking for three interns for two months over the summer holidays:
● One will have the opportunity to work in our press office
● One will work with one of our Senior Policy Researchers to support new research on pensions
● One will work on a variety of short research projects, and will have the opportunity to work on other areas of work such as campaigns, parliamentary work and communications
They will open applications at some point in the second half of May 2015. To register your interest go to the job pages of www.citizensadvice.org.uk and register for an intern vacancy alert. You will get an email telling you when the vacancies go live.
