MetTemps offers both paid work within the University and voluntary roles within local charities or community organisations.

Event Volunteer At Vitality London 10K

Feeling like doing something incredible and changing people’s lives in the process? We (Alzheimer’s Society) are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our Vitality British 10k cheer team to ensure our team of runners receive the support they deserve along the course.

Tower Hamlets Summer Holiday Club

This summer, Sense will be providing school holiday clubs for Tower Hamlets children & young people with disabilities & complex medical needs.

Run by a skilled leader with support from a qualified nurse, you will support them to try new things and develop new skills and interests and have fun.

We are looking for volunteers who are able to spend at least 1 week (Monday to Friday 8:30am -4pm) and up to 3 weeks during the scheme period from the 1st -19th August (Monday to Friday 8:30am ? 4pm), plus 2 days of their time for induction training in July.

Resettlement Volunteer

Interested in supporting vulnerable adults? Do you want to enhance someone’s life chances? You could by establishing a supportive, person-centred relationship with ex-offenders who also have mental health needs following their release from prison

Pampering Volunteer (Hackney)

Interested in beauty treatments? Would you like to support vulnerable women in your community? You could help by delivering beauty treatments to our residents in our supported living accommodation. From hair treatments to make-up or nails treatment.

These activities would take place in Amy’s Place which is a partnership between the Amy Winehouse Foundation and Centra Care & Support where we provide supported living accommodation for young women in recovery and receiving support with drug and alcohol issues.

Healthy Eating Volunteer (Hackney)

Interested in Nutrition? Would you like to support vulnerable women in your community? You could help by delivering and facilitating regular sessions promoting healthy eating, food safety and cooking skills to our residents in our supported living accommodation.

These activities would take place in Amy’s Place which is a partnership between the Amy Winehouse Foundation and Centra Care & Support where we provide supported living accommodation for young women in recovery and receiving support with drug and alcohol issues.

Gardening Volunteer

Do you love gardening? Would you like to support vulnerable women in your community? You could help by delivering and facilitating regular Gardening workshops to help our service users gain gardening skills and explore the possibility of growing their own food.

These activities would take place in Amy’s Place which is a partnership between the Amy Winehouse Foundation and Centra Care & Support where we provide supported living accommodation for young women in recovery and receiving support with drug and alcohol issues.

Events Volunteer (Haringey)

Do you have an interest in supporting people with mental health difficulties? We’re looking for energetic and compassionate people to help to support our service users in Haringey.

If you are interested in planning and facilitating events that offer service users social involvement, leisure and cultural opportunities and encourage them to better access their local community, this could be the role for you.

Appointment Buddy Volunteer (Haringey)

Would you like to support people with mental health difficulties? This could be the role for you. This role involves supporting an adult who is living in a Centra supported housing scheme and take them to their medical appointments helping them to use the public transport and enabling them to feel more confident and relaxed while at the doctor.

Alternative Therapies Volunteer (Hackney)

Interested in alternatives therapies? Would you like to support vulnerable women in your community? You could help by delivering sessions of alternative therapies to our residents in our supported living accommodation. From meditation, yoga, reiki, acupuncture, tai chi, mindfulness, aromatherapy, reflexology or massage.
