An event celebrating women in Mathematics

The School of Mathematical Sciences at Queen Mary University of London is hosting a series of special events as part of our International Women’s Day celebrations.

We invite you to join us at our free Women Count. conference which is being held at our Mile End campus on Thursday 9th March, from 9.45am – 5.00pm

Women Count. is a one-day conference for female mathematics undergraduate and postgraduate students which focuses on opportunities in mathematics and mentorship. The event will provide participants with space in which to meet and network with other women who are active and successful in the field of mathematics.

The event will include:

  • Research talks and panel discussions
  • Problems workshops
  • Insight into the PhD student experience
  • Advice on researching and applying for opportunities
  • Opportunity to network with mathematicians at various stages in their career
  • Celebratory lunch with participants and speaker
