We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our Great Newham London Run volunteer team to ensure our team of runners receive the support they deserve along the course. Discovering Stratford Village 1890-1990: Working lives, Working Community is a two year project funded by Heritage Lottery Fund that will research, interpret and celebrate the diversity of working lives of Stratford Village (E15) over a 100 years through archive research and oral history collection. We need your help to unlock the stories of people who lived and worked in the area and contributed to shape a vivid, lively and multifaceted community!
From Monday to Thursday, City Year UK’s volunteers are integral to the school day. They encourage pupils both in and out of the classroom to engage with and enjoy learning, while developing their own skills. On Fridays they meet to share experiences and benefit from training delivered by experts from across the education, business and voluntary sectors
Free to Be Kids provides holidays, therapeutic adventures and afterschool activities for children struggling with social or emotional difficulties and other significant disadvantages. Without our projects, many would not have support or a break from often extremely difficult home circumstances. We’re looking for enthusiastic, energetic and motivated volunteers to come on our residential projects this summer, to help us provide respite breaks for some of London’s most vulnerable children (sign up for a 1 week project – dates are: Week 1: 22/23rd – 30th July; Week 2: 30th July – 5th August; Week 3: 6th – 13th August).
Great Men Value Women is a project from gender equality charity The GREAT Initiative. We aim to challenge stereotypes of masculinity and to engage men and boys in the movement towards gender equality. The opportunity to work in schools with young people.
