Free employability workshop for Engineering students, including recent graduates and ethnic backgrounds.

AFBE-UK have collaborated with Bloomberg to bring the second Transition workshop this year.

Date: Friday 24th November 2017

Time: 10:15am prompt to 5pm

Venue: Bloomberg City Gate House, 39-45 Finsbury Square, Islington London EC2A 1PQ

The workshop is FREE1 to attend and is OPEN TO ALL students from all year groups (including recent graduates) and aims to demystify the engineering industry by providing a realistic lens on what is required to be employed and work in the engineering sector.

Students will be able to identify errors they could potentially make at various stages in the job application process as well as better understand the skills and competencies required to work in a simulated engineering project environment.

This approach is employed with a view of bridging the gap between industry and academia in a way that shapes the expectations of prospective graduates with little or no prior project experience. All students who attend will receive a Certificate of Attendance at the end of the workshop.

More importantly, there will be the opportunity for students to network and meet with professionals at Bloomberg with the chance to secure a placement.

Spaces are limited with only 14 places left.

Students wishing to take up this opportunity can register their interest at
