An event for young people by young people.

Want to learn about different opportunities available to you? Do you have a dream job? Not sure how to get there?  Four young people talk about their journeys across a range of professions.  From a thriving app entrepreneur and  lifestyle content creator to an apprentice of the year and human rights lawyer,  hear how these young people overcame hurdles to achieve their goals.

Plus pick up the essential skills needed to succeed in the workplace in our workshops before the main event. Learn how to network and improve your public speaking from two experts, and leave ready to get what you want.

Public Speaking Workshop

Learn some of the skills required to master your fear of public speaking and presenting from award winning international speaker Nathaniel Peat. You’ll leave the session with more confidence and some fantastic, practical tips on public speaking.

Nathaniel Peat is a multi-award winning entrepreneur, international speaker, engineer, pilot, martial artist and man of many talents and achievements, he is a regular contributor to TV, radio and print stories which deal with social issues surrounding youth, gender equality, youth crime, entrepreneurship and renewable energy.

How to Network Workshop 

Networking is a key skill needed to progress personally and professionally, the connections you make through your networks can shape your future. Learn top tips on how to work a room and build meaningful relationships from pro networker and Chair of EY Foundation, Patrick Dunne.

Patrick Dunne is Chair of EY Foundation and Chair of boards’ consultancy Boardelta and ESSA – Education Sub Saharan Africa – and founder of Warwick in Africa. Patrick spent 26 years working with international investor 3i Group plc, latterly as communications director and a member of its Operating Committee. He is an author, a patron and former Chair of Leap Confronting Conflict, and a former member of the General Council of the University of Warwick. Patrick is a Visiting Professor at Cranfield School of Management, CMI trustee, and a member of the advisory board of Bridges Social Entrepreneurs fund.
