Societe Generale is one of the principal retail and investment banks in France, and here in the UK the business services range from corporate and investment banking to private banking services, asset management, prime brokerage, clearing services and vehicle & equipment finance.

Societe Generale volunteers from a range of departments in the bank will support three workshops designed to develop the work-readiness of university students, while also providing the students with an insight into some of the different roles and careers within the bank, and the financial services industry more generally. A rotation of volunteers between the three 45-minute workshops will support the students on three main themes:

  1. 09.45 – 10.30 – What makes a great CV & personal profile/statement
  2. 10.45 – 11.30 – Mock interviews and techniques. STAR model and competency-based interview question practice.
  3. 11.45 – 12.30 – presentation skills – groups to work on a presentation and deliver to the rest of the room.
