Opportunity to become a commissioner panel member with the FA

Calling all London Met Students!

Are you studying a law, or law related degree?

Are you interested in gaining experience behind the scenes in football?

The Careers and Employability Team are pleased to let you know the London Football Association are looking to recruit 2nd/3rd year and postgraduate law and law related students to become independent commissioner panel members.

Within the world of football, the laws of the game must be applied on and off the pitch, to ensure that peoples safety, from verbal abuse, physical assault and discrimination, is secure. You will work alongside experienced law practitioners , football league secretaries, and council members, to assess evidence, question the accused and witnesses, and determine whether charges raised by the FA are found proven or not proven. This is an exciting opportunity to develop experience in a legal environment.

Don’t be daunted if you have no prior experience in a judiciary environment yet, we will help train you up remotely, and work alongside you to gain confidence in helping ensure the safety of the community of London in sport. On top of this, as you gain experience, we can help you develop toward working in the professional game, being a commission member in national cases, which is a paid position.

To register your interest in this opportunity, please email becky.greaves@londonfa.com with your details to complete an application form and equality form.

Please mention that you are a London Met student .
