Q & A with Baroness Qureshi – Thursday 23 July at 4 pm

Creative Access will be joined this week on Thursday 23rd July at 4 pm by human rights campaigner, barrister and Shadow Minister for International Development interviewed, Baroness Qureshi, who will be interviewed by BBC Look North reporter Sabbiyah Pervez.

Baroness Qureshi was one of the first female Muslim MPs to be elected to Parliament in the 2010 election in the Labour seat of Bolton South East. Born in Pakistan, she qualified in the UK as a barrister, heading the criminal legal section of the UN Mission in Kosovo. She is involved in many parliamentary campaigns from Dyslexia, to Upskirting, to the representation of religion in the media.

This is a unique opportunity to speak directly to a leading MP, learn about life behind the scenes in Westminster and ask questions about how she has navigated being a minority in politics.
