Development Pathways – an international development organisation – has launched a new internship programme: “Pathways into Development”. The programme is for a bright Black graduate looking to kickstart their career in international development.
The internship is a year-long paid initiative and would be a great opportunity for any Black graduates who are hoping to work in this sector. Depending on their interests and expertise, the intern will have the opportunity to work in a variety of areas including social policy, qualitative and quantitative research and analysis, business development, programmes management and communications.
The programme is a joint initiative with Diasporic Development, a UK, Black professional network of international development practitioners. The intern will have the opportunity to join the network and receive support throughout the programme from Black practitioners.
The programme is not only an opportunity for professional development, but more importantly, provides successful candidates with a network of Black professionals as they build their career. This programme will be offered on an annual basis, and any current students will have the opportunity to also apply once their studies end.
Further information on the programme can be found here.
The deadline to apply is the 9 November 2020.
