Volunteer Victim

  • Advocate Role and Volunteer Witness Advocate Role

Victim Support is an independent charity dedicated to supporting victims of crime and traumatic incidents in England and Wales. We provide specialist help to support people to cope and recover to the point where they feel they are back on track with their lives.

The Royal Institute

  • Family Fun Day
  • Science Explainer
  • Masterclass Helper

The Royal Institution, Ri, is an independent charity and our mission is to encourage people to think more deeply about the wonders and applications of science. This commitment drives everything we do – from our world famous CHRISTMAS LECTURES to our workshops in the L’Oreal Young Scientist Centre and Masterclasses for young people around the country. The public events in our theatre attract over 17,000 people a year and offer an opportunity for life-long learning in the sciences.

Join our volunteering team to help the Royal Institution deliver fantastic interactive activities for young people throughout the year. As a volunteer, your role would be to run activities and demonstrate experiments to young people and their families. This could be anything from extracting DNA from strawberries to making balloon powered cars to smashing vegetables with liquid nitrogen! We provide all of the equipment and instructions so all you need to do is turn up and bring your enthusiasm for science. This is a great opportunity for those who want to gain skills in working with children, science communication and demonstrating science in an informal setting.
