Museum removes copyright restrictions from 10,000+ images

The Walters Art Museum, Baltimore USA  has removed copyright restrictions from more than 10,000 images of works in its collections.  These  images are now licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported (CC BY-NC-SA 3.0)

The objects in the internationally renowned collection range from  pre-dynastic Egypt to 20th-century Europe, including this disturbing mid-Victorian Scottish brooch.

The Walters Art Museum website is a pleasure to use; with options to browse high quality images  by places, categories or creators etc.

Don’t forget to read the licence and to use and attribute images as required
