Festive feasts for your eyes (and minds)

The festive period is definitely upon us in Aldgate library, with Christmas themed displays and artworks in the windows.

An exhibition of over 100 foundation students has been put up in the windows of the library facing onto Goulston street, as part of a local public art trail called Window Wanderland, which transforms streets into outdoor galleries. It has certainly brightened up the library, inside and out! See more about the project here.

The popular Christmas Wishes project is back this year, where students and staff can write their wishes on a ‘bauble’ which is then displayed on our Christmas tree. We hope they all come true!

Our book displays have a wintery theme, with famous snowy themes by artists including Brueghel, Hiroshige, Kiefer and Friedrich on show, as well as angels and Christmas decorating crafts ideas.
