Artists’ Book Fairs and Symposium

Strange Perfume

The LGBTQIA book Fair ‘Strange Perfume‘, which focuses mainly on artists’ books and printed matter, will be at the South London Gallery on 25th and 26th of May. There is a programme of events and stands from an international mix of artists selling ‘queer fiction, critical and political writing, drawing and printmaking’.  The list of talks features the Women of Colour Reading Group  – see previous blog post about this group.

Turn The Page Fair & Symposium

Turn the Page Artists’ Book Symposium and Fair will be happening in Norwich, at the Forum,  also on 25th and 26th of May. There is a great list of interesting looking talks for the symposium, including one by Siobhan Britton on the Artist/Librarian and Artists’ Books. And see here for a list of exhibitors at the fair, which includes Ruth Martin, whose work you can see in the image below.

A great couple of days for artists’ books, and as ever don’t forget London Met Libraries holds its own collection of Artists Books within the Special Collections at Calcutta House.
