Dogs in the Library!

As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, library services organised a visit from some therapy dogs, and yes they were actually in the library! We had 2 separate visits, one at Aldgate Library and one at Holloway Road Library. Here at Aldgate we had Anton  (wire haired dachshund), Alice ( labrador) and Nelson (leonberger ).

Research shows spending time with dogs can help reduce stress, and many students came along for a cuddle to help them relax during stressful exam time. The event was an enormous success, with many thank to Pets As Therapy who provided the gorgeous and beautifully behaved dogs.
